早上如厕,翻看手边的杂志([广告-popular science])。看到这则册中广告,很有感触:
The Internet is exhilarating. Magazines are enveloping. The Internet grabs you. Magazines embrace you. The Internet is impulsive. Magazines are immersive. And both media are growing.
广告说,“就像曾经被证明过得一样,新的媒体的出现不一定会取代现有的。比如,电影没有杀掉(kill)广播;电视没有杀掉电影;现存的媒体可以继续繁荣发展,只要它能提供一种独一无二的经历。正如读者的忠诚和增长率所证明的一样,杂志正是如此。”(想翻译贴切了还真不容易。)
我希望的是,那些质感很好的,让人忍不住想要触摸的书,不要全被kindle读物取代了。As someone said: "I still am old fashioned and like the print."
